Built to perform, the BDU Xtreme uniform was developed in partnership with A-TACS Camo and was created with the input of special operations and law enforcement personnel. This hybrid uniform design bridges the gap between the original BDU and the modern ACU by incorporating the best features of both. Cut from soft, yet durable 50 / 50 vat dyed Cordura NYCO that resists fading and shrinking.

These pants really do combine the best features from the BDUs and TRUs. They have the features you need and not the unnecessary extras.
They fit true to size. The Medium Regulars to have a 35in waist and 32in inseam. I have 34 waist and the pants fit well with a little room for layers. Measure your waist, do not use your Jeans size. If your on the border, size down and loose weight as the next size up is 4 inches wider. If your normal pant inseam is 30, go with the short as they are only 2 in shorter.
The NYCO fabric is more comfortable, flexible, and breathes better than the TRU. Only washed and worn once in the field, but fabric seems durable and colorfast....time will tell.
The AUx and especially the FGx patterns are an improvement over the old ones, better colors and better breakup. ATACS has done a great job of designing a new family of camouflage patterns. The patterns integrate well with each other, are very effective, and (IMO) also look good.

The quality of the material seems to be what I would expect from any BDU pants. Having worn for many years the Tru-Spec 24-7 Tactical Brand of work pants I have grown accustomed to the knife/flashlight pocket on both sides of your hips. I wish they would add this to the BDU line of clothing. I love the button up fly as well as the button side pockets which is vital when making any type of noise a critical failure.
That is why I do not like the Tru-Spec 24-7 tactical pants due to the loud noise of the Velcro (Hook & Loop) side pockets. It also makes it difficult for one handed operation. I find myself having to use two hands just to open the velcro pockets.
What I do love about the 24-7 Tactical is the knife/flashlight pockets and love the adjustable waist band. Maybe they could take this line of pants and change over to buttons just like the BDU.
I have not had the Tru-Spec Nylon/Cotton Ripstop BDU Xtreme Pants long enough to give a more honest review and wish they would ask me to review the product after having owned it for a year or more instead of a week or two. Then I could report on the fading of the material or thinning and ripping due to washing etc.

Arkansas climate for summer months tends towards the green side of the spectrum. These pants fit well, and are very well made and durable. The knees are reinforced although they lack the insert pockets this is not a deal breaker as one can simply wear knee pads for field duty. The belt loops are well sewn and durable, leaving enough room for larger width belts. Overall the quality and durability are excellent.

Lite but rugged nice camo pattern . Color has held through some washing to loosen fabric . I purchased these slightly large , they are exactly as described. Going to use for hunting eventually would love to have other A-TACS patterns.

I bought these for work. As an archaeologist (non-academic) I spend all of my time in remote areas. I'm digging and hiking in areas that demand rugged durability from my clothes and gear. Many times have I seen others getting their pants snagged on hazards and they rip wide open. Your miles away from anywhere, and the rest of the day to work. These hold up! Ripstop, doubled kneed, pockets where I need them. Comfortable once you wash the starch out.

Lots strings ,one belt loop was not connected to pants at one end. Otherwise really like them.

Fabric is lighter than the TRU line, but serviceable. A size intermediate to the LL and XLL would be a better fit for many.
