Designed to blend in and maintain tactical efficiency, the TRU-SPEC Digital Battle Shirt features a four-pocket design for maximum storage and is made of a durable polyester and cotton twill fabric. The two slanted chest pockets are spacious and contain a hook-and-loop closure for safely securing your gear. There are two bellowed sleeve pockets with button flaps for added storage. The elbows are reinforced for long-lasting durability and extra support when leaning or in a prone position. This shirt features a concealed button front for a professional, yet covert appearance, and the felled side seams and sleeves promote an optimum range of motion for maximum maneuverability. The inverted adjustable cuff allows for a customizable fit and prevents snags when on the go.

I'd hate to rate it lower than 5, but the heat retension gets bad. Even the desert camouflage version gets very warm in the summer.Being made of 65/35 Poly/Cotton Twill instead of 50/50 NYCO rip-stop [or even 50/50 NYCO twill], it retains heat here in Arizona. However, in colder weather from November to February, Poly/Cotton is awesome, but any other time of the year, it gets muggy in these "Digital Battle Shirts" and "Digital Battle Trousers".

However for relatively lightweight, soft but awesomely tough BDUs for airsofting or paint-balling i do recommend these because they don't tear easily.

(Note this is not the official MCCUU coat, American Apparel makes those for Marines Only, if you want the legit MARPAT camo uniform, join the Marines and wear the uniform)

I wore the shirt about 4 times and I noticed an 8-10 inch thread hanging from underneath the right arm. Upon further inspection I noted that the stitching on the outside of the felled seam had pulled out and the fabric there was unsecured. This is a problem I've not seen before with TRU-SPEC products.

My husband has had the green colored coat for years and is always wearing it...this year he asked for the desert colored coat for Christmas.....he was thrilled for find it under the tree. I'm sure he will get years of wear from it!

Was happy to find a button up front placket in the styel I was looking for. The poly/cotton twill has a nice feel and makes for a durable jacket. I appreciate the overall quality.

Little skeptical about buying clothing online in fear it won't fit. Not this time, fits very well.
