For cold mornings or long winter days, the TRU-SPEC Poly/Spandex Ripstop ¼ Zip Winter Combat Shirt is designed to keep you warm, dry and mission-ready. It is made of Performance plus grid fleece to trap heat and wick away moisture while you are in motion, so flexibility is a given. The Tactical Response Uniform sleeves also are lined with grid fleece for added warmth and have zippered pockets for storage. Hook and loop cuffs make the wrists adjustable and the elbows are reinforced for durability and maneuverability. If you're unwilling to sacrifice tactical functionality for warmth, this is the cold-weather combat shirt for you.

I've bought TRU-SPEC products before and I've always been very happy with everything in general. This shirt is as expected very well made of high quality materials, I bought two. I am 6' 3" 210 pounds. I typically order an XL or XL Long. This shirt seems to run a bit large and it is definitely on the longer side if you order a long. That is fine because while the shirt is warm you will want to wear a good base layer for any day or night that is more than just a bit cool. This shirt alone will NOT stop wind from passing through but with a good base layer you should be fine. The arms are indeed fully lined which is really nice. As I said the materials are quality and sturdy including the zippers, velcro, and stitching. As others have commented the body is indeed coyote in color. My second shirt is khaki/sand and the colors are very true to the picture. Highly recommended!

Bought this product because I wanted something I could layer over a mid-weight polar/grid fleece hoody without being bulky.

I'll use my sizing to illustrate the sizing on the shirt. I'm 5' 8', 205, size xl regular. If you're going to order this item to wear as is, with a cold gear shirt under it, order your regular size. If you're going to do what I did and order as an over-shirt, you'll want to size up by one size; in terms of cut, I have the room I need for layering with the shirt coming nowhere close to being a tent, and just enough body length to keep the cold off my lower back. For someone with a big body type, you're probably going to want to order up by at least one size and may want to consider a tall for added body length.

Yet to test out the shirt for why I bought it, but if it performs the way I expect for the reason why I bought it, this shirt is going to set a new standard for this kind of gear. It more than meets what I'm looking for in warmth for how I'm layering it. And I'm getting that warmth with zero in the bulk department.

One note on the color: the body of the shirt is what I'd call coyote brown.

I ordered a Small Regular which I normally wear in combat shirts but the sleeves were too tight, especially in the shoulders.
I tried to make it work but it was simply too tight when I went thru the normal range of movement and motion both while carrying gear and not.
I could've tried a size up but I already have a Medium from a few years ago and it's too baggy and long.
I think this may be a limited problem for me because I am quiet literally in between small and medium.
The body of the shirt fit well but the issue was in the sleeves, perhaps if other lengths were available in the small I could've dialed in on the correct sizes for me.
It's a well made shirt but the sizing didn't work out for me.

Needed some additional winter wear and I’m very impressed with this shirt. I’m 5’8” @155lbs, slim body. Typically I wear medium but lately some of the products I buy here are size small. However, I do prefer form fitting outfits. I bought a small reg and it really fits nice. Articulation in the arms doesn’t seem restricted either. I like the fact I am able to wear my jacket over this as well, which is small too but still fits great. Throw on another t-shirt and another layer and I’m set for winter. Seriously debating on purchasing a few more of these.

The adjustment at the wrist is nice too when I layer up with another long sleeved shirt/a 1/4 zip pullover.

Even this alone and just a t-shirt, my arms are kept warm in the early mornings I wake up.

Highly recommended.

The reason for ordering the fleece lined shirt was for the added warmth and it has that. Also the construction appears to be of quality. Over all I’m very pleased with the shirt. I look forward to those extreme cold winter nights while on patrol or out at a crash to truly enjoy the quality of this product. Would I buy another, most assuredly I will be by 3 more.

Well made, quality materials, and worth the money. Color is true to pictures. Size is true but I would say that the long sizes do run a bit longer than you might expect. Very warm but you will need a good base layer which should be expected. Highly recommended.

This has been my favorite purchase this year. This combat shirt is very warm and also breathes well under my body armor. This shirt surpassed my expectations and I’m finally comfortable during the cold winter months.

Very well made garment. The lining is plenty warm. Ordered a small regular and the fit is good. 5"8 and 140 pounds. If planning on wearing anything other than a tee shirt under it, I would recommend upsizing.

This shirt is perfect under an outside vest carrier in cool weather & add in a cold weather undershirt & I can get away without a coat in all but the coldest nights. Super soft inside.
