Purchased these boots for a waterproof outdoor work and everyday wear boot about 45 days ago. They have become my go too pair of boots. Took some time (several days of wearing) to break in and now are very comfortable. They are not cushioned in the foot bed like a tennis shoe so if that is what you are looking for you may want to look at other boots. What they are is a boot that breaks in nicely and are comfortable and are tough at the same time. I like them not having a really soft insole. I've had them on all day on a number of occasions and my feet have not felt tired or hurt at all. Good toe box that is roomy but not too wide. They have a good strong supportive feel below the ankle while not feeling too restrictive above the ankle. So far they appear to be waterproof but have not worn them yet in heavy moisture conditions. As for true to size I would say they are. I mostly wear a 10.5 shoe. My feet length wise are between a 10 and 10.5 with width more like a true 10.5. Sometimes if I go with a 10 to make the length work better, then sometimes the boot is too narrow. I chose the 10.5 in the waterproof version. They fit perfect. Would probably stick with the 10.5 even in the non waterproof version of this boot. I think a 10 would be too short and possibly to narrow also. To me the boots are pretty much true to size. Maybe a little big but not as much as a half size. I do feel that these boots would still be comfortable if fit is a hair big. These boots have become my everyday knock around boots. They seem to lack some breathability so could feel a little warm in warmer conditions. This is probably a result of the material makeup of the boot being fairly thick and robust. Will see when summer comes. Boots have good traction on all surfaces so far. Tongue on left boot is a hair off center but presents zero comfort issues. The waterproofing seems to make them a mild, cool to cold weather boot. Have no complaints on the purchase and very glad I picked these boots! Very happy with the gray version. Great customer service from you guys.

I've only worn them a couple of days, but so far so good. I wear a 9.5M in Belleville and Altima boots. with these boots I wear a 10M, so they are correct when they say order one 1/2 size larger. I had them out in some extremely dry and dusty gravel road areas yesterday. So the black boots turned grey. A quick wipe down with a damp/wet towel was all they needed. For the next design update, I would modify the top four eyelets to the speed lace type. If they had that feature, I would have given 5 stars.

The biggest regret I have with these boots is giving them the benefit of the doubt and trying to break them in, rather than returning them.
I’ve ordered many boots at 10M. All 10M fit perfectly, these should be ordered .5 size bigger.
Very tight. Sole is hard and tread doesn’t bit well on any terrain except asphalt, stone and smooth floor.
Boot will have to be fully unlaced to remove off foot, and put back on.
Boot is tight around toe knuckles. I soaked them and beat a Piece of cut and smoothed down 2x4 in them to them stretch, stitching held up and did help the break in process.
Right boot lace snapped after the third time putting them on, left boot is starting the wear very quickly.
I take my dogs on a 5.3mi walk every day after work.
79.5 mi later the boots are still not broken in, very uncomfortable however the left lace has not yet broke.

Will never buy these boots again, not will I ever try victos shoes/boots after this terrible experience.

Boot is sooooooo comfortable, no break in needed, put em on and go. Traction is awesome.
I bought the waterproof boot and went up a half size like someone else mentioned. This is true, need to go up 1/2 size if ya get waterproof model.
Swapped insoles....still fit perfect.
Great job on a lightweight water proof boot

Comfortable after 12hr shift, breathes and wicks well. Good range boot, supports in all the right places; my only gripe would be the top three laces maybe making them a speed lace config. Well built and seem durable thus far. Def order a half size up for a perfect fit.

I enjoy the height of the boot, making it much easier to slip on and yet still have that support in the ankle. The boot is comfortable and has great support for the feet. The tread is unique and (not having done various tasks) I can tell is designed for many surfaces including ladders. Cannot wait for winter use.

Didnt want the water proof boots, but the regular ones in my size have been backordered forever. I got the waterproof johnny combat and wore them two days at work and boot laces broke on one boot and frayed on the other. However, i am pleased w my purchase so far

Viktos makes good stuff and this isn’t an exception. Love the looks and they feel snug on my foot/ankle. Only drawback so far is the sole isn’t as cushy as I’d like, but that’s okay as it’s a great boot for the price ! Have yet to test the water proofing .

I was hoping they would be more comfortable but after a couple days of wearing them to work I got used to them! Seem to be well made. I’m glad I asked about the sizing and ordered a half size bigger than I normally wear!!
