After spending decades engineering combat-ready gear for the U.S. Armed Forces, Oakley brings the future of protective eyewear to the battlefield with the SI Ballistic M Frame 3.0. It's barely more than an ounce, but this rugged design meets or exceeds the ballistic fragmentation impact standards of MIL PRF-31013, Clause 3.5.1.1, and the high mass & high velocity impact requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2003/2010. Durability is optimized with a new thin stem technology, which also enables compatibility with over-ear hearing protection as well as communication systems. Vision remains clear and unobstructed because of the anti-fog coating. Paired with three optional interchangeable lenses, this optical system gives the ultimate in comfort, compatibility, clarity and convenience. You can count on clarity at all angles rather than just what lies ahead of you.

I bought these because of the Oakley quality, but was not impressed with the cheaply made sunglasses. I've worn these for almost a month now, and even though the lenses are holding up well, the flimsy plastic/rubbery temple bars are useless. I should have physically seen these before I bought them, I would not have wasted $120 on them.

I ordered to replace a destroyed pair of Oakley SI Ballistic M Frame 2.0. I found the 3.0 to be less comfortable for my head and face. The temple bands rode a little lower and put too much pressure on my ears particularly if the bridge was pressed firmly against my nose/brow. In addition the 2.0 had a soft rubber(y) cover around the temple bands. Not a horrible product, but I prefer the 2.0.

I bought a second pair because I thought the first had come in contact with something that made the lens peel. The second pair did the same, so I went into the Oakley Vault(outlet store) in Vacaville California and got quite the surprise. The employee explained that sweat makes the lens peel, and that is NOT warrantied. So, I have 2 pair of ballistic 3.0 sun glasses that are useless unless I plan to not sweat. What total crap and what a poor design. I feel burned by Oakley and I'm out $230. A good pair of polorized safty glasses for $30 will give the same result and you can sweat in them.

The Oakley Ballistic 3.0 M Frames are an awesome upgrade from the 2.0's. Fit and finish are always top notch with all Oakley SI gear. I love how they fit under any and all hearing protection/gear. The frame also allows for comms gear/wiring to comfortably and generously fit where the 2.0's struggled. Overall, I love them. Highly recommended! Thank you Tactical Gear! You folks rock!

The good news is Oakley makes a great product both in quality and in looks, the bad news is you will pay a premium set price no matter where you buy. I checked a number of other sites/locations and the price for this item was the same through every outlet, and in my mind the price is about double what it should be… but at least (for now) I feel like I got a top shelf item that looks like the latest greatest in "tactical" eyewear. PS: TacticalGear is easy to work with, I called with a few questions and the response was polite and professional.

Very well made and nice protection. Feel confident in their ability to protect my eyes. First time out at range took a hard 9mm eject to the glasses and nose, worked great. The grey lens a bit darker than I'd like but very minor inconvenience. Worth the money for piece of mind.

This is my 3rd pair! The optics are crystal clear. Fits comfortably under my headset while allowing them to seal around my ear for maximum noise reduction. Hard to find non-polarized Prism lens will not interfere with polarized instruments. I would recommend these to any aviator or anyone looking for superior impact protection and clarity.

I bought cheaper sunglasses before that were very similar to these but they didn’t come close to the quality of Oakley! These Oakley’s stay fit to your head and are not to tight either. The quality of the lens is excellent. Don’t be afraid to pay a little extra for these sunglasses because they are worth it!

These lenses, as with all the M Frame lenses I have used, are of incredible optical clarity and durability. I use my M Frames for eye protection outside in severe dust on Heavy Construction projects, knowing I have the very best protection available at any cost.

These are by far the best pair of shooting glasses I've ever owned. Super comfortable, fit well on my face, and don't slide down my nose when I sweat. Only complaint is that when it's cold outside and I'm working; running mainly, they fog up pretty bad and I have to wipe them off to see clear again. But only when it's cold. Other than that, they stand up to Oakles top-of-the-line quality. Worth the price, you get what you pay for. Thank you for making SI' s available to civilians.
