Propper Lightweight Tactical Vest Tactical Reviews, Deals, Problems and Guides

I ordered a medium. I am 5'7", 150 pounds, long legs, short torso, no gut. The bottom of the vest comes to about 4" below the belt on me. Over a t-shirt and light jacket I can zip it up but it's snug. Over a heavier coat I wear it unzipped. I use it for day hikes in the woods and it has enough pockets for what I carry: two small water bottles, compass and map, lighter, flashlight, first aid kit, camera, granola bars, compact .380 and extra mag. I find it more comfortable than a pack for my purposes. Well made, somewhat water resistant, at least for now. I carry the pistol in the left inside pocket; some sort of retention system would be nice, as would some light padding in the shoulders. Overall, very good vest for the money. I bought this vest in black back in March. I was a little skeptical because I'm not a vest guy but I ended up loving it. It holds everything I need when camping and looks pretty good too. Needless to say when the olive one was on sale I jumped at the chance to pick up a vest I knew was great.

I am a curvy woman and didn't see any mention that this was a man's vest. However, I took it to an alteration person and she took in the shoulders and now it fits perfectly. It holds EVERYTHING - camera, wallet, iPad, etc. Very comfortable and lightweight and not at all cumbersome.

Was NOT going with a khaki vest like all the rest. Found this green one. Cool.
Looks very well constructed. And pockets galore!
In fact, too many, its a bit on the heavy side.
I may remove all the inside pockets to lighten it up.

He is often in search of the right working vest that suits his tastes and practical needs. This one is definitely made to order. We weren't sure it would fit well, but this too is perfect for him and I'm glad I ordered 2 of them. With all the pockets and great construction, this vest tops them all, and the price is excellent.

If you are a "big and tall" kind of guy wanting to holster carry a side arm concealed, this might not work as it is too short letting things "hang out." A "tall" version would be nice. The MOLLE loops are more "tacticool" than useful and I and would prefer more pockets on the left side instead. Also some pistol magazine pockets inside such as in the Rothco brand version of a CCW vest.

I have been looking for a well made concealed carry vest and I came across this one with the size I wanted, the color I was wanting. Well made a lot of storage pockets, great zipper and I got it at a price that could not be found with this type Quality I was wanting. I will be getting more

I got my best friend and myself matching vests since they were on sale. This fits my large frame very well. I can conceal a pt809 with light easily in the inner pocket. The material is good quality and all the seems are stitched well. Great item.

Everything was as advertised. I did read reviews before buying and one of them said to order one size bigger if you want to wear a sweatshirt underneath. This was good advise. Vest is well made and functional.

Excellent Product. Lots of pockets, build to last, and fit like a glove. Use the size guide to pick your project. Recommendation: Don't exceed your size range and think that bigger will fit better.
