The ProTac HL 5-X is a 3,500 lumen tactical light that comes with four CR123A batteries. Multi-battery versatility means the user can always use primary disposable cells to power the light if the rechargeable cell is out of power and a charging source is not available. They are the newest and brightest addition to the ProTac series. The output from the LED results in one of the brightest tactical lights available. The "sure grip rubber sleeve" ensures you'll never lose your grip.

I have always relied on my MAGCHARGER to shed light on things. No more. My son works at the Sheriff's dept and showed me this light. It is brighter than ANY handheld flashlight of this size that I have seen or used, it is even brighter by 1000 lumens if you use the rechargeable batteries. The ONLY problem I have found is that the standard flashlight ring doesn't carry it too well. It tips in the ring and could fall out. I carry it in my back pocket when I'm out & about. IF you work a job where a light could make the difference between life & death,,,this light is for you. Most other places charge up to $125.00 for it. This is the least expensive I have found.

I purchased two of these lights for the back country of Wyoming. This light exceeds my expectations when it came to brightness. We should be able to feel safe and see everything we need to when it gets dark while hunting in the wilderness. Didnt purchase the rechargeable batteries, but the cr123 make this light see for many of yards clearly! Perfect light.

I have several Streamlight products... among them was the ProTac HL 4, the predecessor to the HL 5-X. The flashlight is sturdy and well-made. The only issue that I had is very minor. They moved the location of the on/off button, I was used to the HL 4, so that isn't really an issue. I like this placement better anyway. I would recommend this as a light to keep in your vehicle. If you are going to use this at work, I would suggest a belt holder like a ring.

bought the light for work. absolutely beyond bright lights anything up I want. Love the lumens output and with how it can light a field up.
Cons: I am on my second light from it just cutting out after being turned on for 20 seconds. My second light started doing the same thing and I have to loosen the end cap and retighten it and then it works again for approximately 30 seconds and then cuts out (repeat process). Last time I put electrical grease and it worked great, but just started doing it again tonight.
Other then the cutting out I love the light and hope they fixedd the issues with it

I own several Streamlight flashlights and I was quick to order this one since it takes rechargeable batteries and produces a blazing 3500 lumens. Upon receiving the light I charged the batteries and was anxious for the sun to set. WOW, this thing is a beast. You will not be disappointed.

The only bad thing about this product is that they don’t make it with an internal charger like their other flashlights. Ex. Stinger/SL-20 style lights. Absolutely an awsome carry light for patrol/security work. I highly recommend this to all my patrol friends

I was a big fan of one of those other tactical lights until I won a streamlight strion in a Police charity match a few years ago. This is not my 12th Streamlight. It lights up the night and I can see what going on at my barn 400 feet away . It is bright and using rechargeable batteries saves tons of money

Pros: No kidding, this thing is SUPER bright. Even with 2 18650s, it's brighter than most car headlights. Brighter than any other flashlight I've used. Makes my 1000 lm EDC look like a tin C-cell torch, @1965. Everyone freaks out when they see how bright it is, which makes for a fun experience, all-around.
Cons: 1. The shape -- large-ish head with exceptionally skinny grip -- makes for a seriously unbalanced mass and awkward handling. Takes some practice to quickly grab it and get it into a useful tactical position. 2. With no manual beam adjustment, I think the lens should have been a bit more focused.

Perfectly sized, fits in the hand perfectly, rubberized coating ensures it will NOT SLIP out of your hand! --( nice feature, because of the elements, gloves, sweat, etc.) Bright as the SUN!, but still operational with multiple brightness settings, to ensure long battery/function run time, made it a great light for my wants/needs!

Quality stuff, very bright especially close. Not a narrow beam and doesn't throw as far as my Fenix to 41 900 lumen light. Again very blinding white light close range. Good for my use as a state C.O. at night. Thanks
