The Streamlight TLR-1 HL LED is the brightest light I have ever seen in that small of a package.

The light is advertised as having 630 lumens, and I believe it. It easily lights up an entire room no matter where it is pointed. The only drawback to the intensity of the brightness is that it will temporarily ruin your night vision. However, the other side of the coin is that if you point this at an intruder when in constant on or in strobe mode, they aren't going to recover their ability to see anywhere near as fast as you will on the other end.

The light secures very well to my Daniel Defense 7.0 Omega rail and the selector on the light works great. Overall, the light has a very solid feel and although I have not had a chance to go to the range yet, I have no doubt that the light will function and perform flawlessly.

I have a SureFire X300 Ultra on one pistol and wanted another weapon light for my nightstand Glock. I like the higher lumens for both indoor and outdoor use.

I ordered the Streamlight TLR-1 HL because of several very good reviews, the price is about half that of the SureFire and the new HL model has high lumens.

I found that the rocker switch on the Streamlight is easier to use than the Surefire and the strobe is nice. Both lights have great beams, brightness and spread. IMHO the Streamlight is a much better value.

I liked it so much that I ordered my second Streamlight TLR-1 HL to put on the rail of my HD and night time critter rifle.

This is my first non-surefire light and I'm impressed. The build quality is high. The light output is awesome. The price is right. Surefire has gotten quite expensive, so if you're looking for a high quality alternative, this is the choice. It's slightly wider than you would think from the photo, but I haven't found that to be a problem in any way. The attachment to my M&P was simple. The switch to activate the light is ergonomic and within comfortable reach (for my hands) without changing my grip. This lights up the entire room when I turn it on and my sights are very clearly visible. I'm a fan.

I purchased this light to replace my TLR-1 C4 that was lost. This HL is bright! The beam is much less focused than the C4 which prevents using the halo as a quick target acquiring tool during CQB. But it does flood the area with tons of light. I was worried about it getting too hot with it having the warning and cooling fins on the light. So far, it has gotten warm, but never hot to the touch. Great light. I have been a Streamlight owner since the M3, and the only feature it lacks is the push-on which the much more expensive Surefire X300 has. Other than that, this is a superior weapons light.

Cant say enough on how bright this light is, unreal! so bright in fact I may put a light colored filter on it for some tasks, I have a 500 lumen handheld flashlight, and this completely overwhelms that, so as far as the 630 lumens I'd say they are right on, the strobe is much easier to activate than my old Blackhawk xiphos, seems just as tough as my old tlr, had it for about 5 years, GREAT LIGHT!!

I own two Glock GTL-10s that I've had for 5 years. I've never really been thrilled with them because they are only rated at 70 lumens. When I saw this light had an 800 lumen rating, I thought "yeah, right", but I went ahead and bought it. Well, I don't know if it really is 800 lumens, but man, is it bright! I have several flashlights that are rated between 1,000 lumens and 2,000 lumens, so I do have a basis of comparison.
An absolutely fantastic value when you consider that it's only $30.00 more than the Glock tactical light. I was so impressed that I bought a second one a week after the first one was delivered.
Note: Keep a quarter handy. You'll want to use it to tighten the adjustment screw on the side.

I bought this for my G19 to pair with a StealthGear Onyx holster because that is the light they make the holster for. I love the StealthGear holsters and this light works great with it. I really like the on/off/strobe control for the light. In just the right spot for my trigger finger to operate it off the trigger or using a thumbs forward grip your left hand is right there too.

I bought this to replace my original TLR-1 & I couldn't be more pleased. Over twice as bright & really helps out in night patrol operations. It's more of a short range, flood type light so I can't say if it would work well on a rifle but it is amazing on a sidearm. Shipping was super fast as well as I received my light in 3 days from the day of order. Overall I'm very impressed.

I wanted a small but bright light for a home defense shotgun, and this light was perfect.

It was easy to mount on my SG's magazine tube and is easy to activate.

It puts out a surprising amount of light for such a small device.

I haven't had the opportunity to test the light when firing my SG, but again, the gun is for home defense and not night target practice.
