Compatible with almost any firearm, the Streamlight TLR-1S Rail Mounted Tactical with Strobe creates extremely bright light for use at night or in dimly-lit situations. This tactical light has three settings (momentary, constant and strobing) and produces consistent illumination for up to 2.5 hours and with a peak beam intensity of up to a 12,000 candela. Made with a machined aluminum-sealed construction, this light is virtually indestructible, making it an ideal attachment for tactical operations. A rail grip clamp system allows for easy attachment and detachment without the use of tools and without having to put your hand in front of the muzzle.

I just received my TLR-1s and find it all I expected and more. Prior to purchasing I read many reviews here and some mentioned difficulty operating the strobe function. I am happy to say I found it quite easy to operate AND run continuously with little practice. Try this (assuming you are right handed, use a 2 hand grip and keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire), with your support hand (left) thumb, give 2 rapid pushed down on the left side of the switch AND HOLD the second push. Then using your trigger finger, quickly press the switch (right side of switch) down into continuous mode. TA-DA! With a little practice and built up muscle memory it's very easy to do.
The unit itself is made well and mounted to my Sig P226 easily. While showing a buddy the light he mentioned how easy he could find the "back lit" sights of the pistol...then said it looked like the bright spot of light in the center was basically "minute of bad guy" and would work well for a snap shot across a living room if it came to that.
Again, I'm very happy with this weapon light. Well made in the USA and looks like it will do everything I could ask it to do. Great price point and Tactical Gear did their part of this transaction flawlessly.

This light easily attached to my Glock 19. This is the brightest flashlight I have every used. It is a bit bigger than I thought it would be but I am very happy with it. I hope to attach it to the quad rail on my AR as well. It has the proper mounts for a variety of applications.

After researching and reading multiple reviews on tactical lights and receiving this product it delivers as was expected.
Tacticalgear.com had very competitive pricing and I received the product in just a few days as promised.
I recommend both

So far I like everything about this item. Made well, easy to install, and fits my glock 22 perfect. The light it shines out is outstanding. I think the 300 lumen is more than bright enough. Anything more would run the batteries down too quickly.

I owned one of these lights previously. It is very bright and will light up a field pretty well. It's only weak spot is the battery door which can break if you don't open it properly, which I did with my first one. I fits my pistols and rifle.

This is a great home defense light. Had this on my Gen4 Glock 23 and its my night stand. I had the HL version but didn't like cause it gets hot easily and battery ran out too fast so I got this one instead.

Have used product for years. It is just right for tactics: enough light to see in rooms, but not so much light that it washes out lighted reticles, or reflects and blinds the operator, me.

Very glad I made this purchase. It's quality that you can feel.

I think this weapon light is easier to turn on/off than Surefire 300X. I've used it during a lowlight/no light tac training and it performed well in terms of the switch for momentary on and constant on. I'm very satisfied with Streamlight TLR1 and will purchase another one.
