Allow us to introduce one of the toughest knives TG has ever made— the TG Hummingbird. This spring-assisted folding knife offers the rapid one-handed deployment critical for EMTs, fire/rescue and first responders. Once open, the blade secures into place with a liner lock. The stainless steel blade and handle are coated in titanium, providing maximum durability and excellent resistance to corrosion. If you’re searching for an everyday carry that can take a beating and still come out sharp, the TG Hummingbird knife is tough enough to fit the bill.

The product is very “cheap feeling”. It’s lite and doesn’t feel like it’s substantial enough to do much other than open mail. It has a sharp blade and I can’t contest to how well the edge/blade holds up (chipped the blade taking out a very small Phillips screw) due to me using my old kershaw that actually feels like a daily tool in my hand.

A big turn off was the blade saying “USA DESIGN- HANDMADE IN CHINA”

I didn’t expect a lot for what I paid for it, but I did expect a little better since the pen is so well overly built.

So I knew it would be a small knife, which is actually what I wanted. I have several clip pocket knives, but wanted something smaller to not carry in the traditional edge of a pocket. This knife fits in a watch pocket on bluejeans perfectly. When sitting down it doesn't poke into you nor does it scream "I have a knife" with the typical clip on the side of a pocket.

Blade is a bit troublesome to open, but that's due to the size not the knife itself. I typically do not pick up spring-assisted so it could be me as well. Nice little backup, box opener or maybe a whitler for someone with smaller hands. For a younger person or someone who wears "x-small" gloves this would probably be just right for them.

For the price I will eventually get every penny out of this knife. With a name like hummingbird I was expecting it to be light with quick reaction. the blade release is stiff but the assist is strong, the blade shape is good but out of the box it is not very sharp, the handle is very sturdy but the bevel angles make it a little uncomfortable to cut with. Don't get me wrong this is a quality piece of machinery that will go nicely in a glove box or center console and in a home or a shop cardboard packaging beware.

This is a very nice edc. Blade holds an edge, smooth opening action and well constructed. My only potential negative is the pocket clip. While in my pocket it has got snagged a few times. The end of the clip recurves out a bit too much for my liking, but I have carried this blade every day either on my person in in my pack. Very good quality knife.

Good blade, cuts well and is sharp. Very thick and sturdy metal.
Weighs a lot for such a small knife (it's small and discrete, not like a large Benchmade or Kershaw).

Cons: needs some form of grip added, like G10 panels or talon tape, etc. This thing will slip out of your hand because it's small and no friction surfaces. Potentially dangerous.

I got the th hummingbird in and was very impressed with the knifes clean modern design and looks. I love the finish on the blade & handle. I great smaller size and ideal if you want to have a knife with you if you're wearing a suit or business casual to work and want a fancier looking knife to carry. I'm so impressed by it that I ordered the TG Grey Eagle to have as a big brother to the hummingbird.

Seems to be well made. A bit heavier than I anticipated so only 4 stars because of that. Just seems like a chunk for such a smallish knife. Blade was semi sharp out of the box and after cutting up a large cardboard box for fireplace starters I needed to hit it a few licks on the sharpener to bring it back to better than new. Time will tell but I think it will be a good knife.

I purchased this knife because I needed something light, small and dependable for when I go running. To my surprise this knife is not a lightweight. It’s well built, with an assisted opening function that makes it an easy open. Not quite sure how sweat resistant it will be long term, but right off the bat, it seems like it would hold up nicely. Highly recommended.
