Not all socks are built the same. With Thorlos's Military Combat Boot Socks, you get a pair of socks built to boost mobility and improve foot health in challenging combat and training conditions. Thorlos uses a unique padding system that supports the natural fat pads found in the bottom of the foot. Thick cushioning in the ball and heel of the sock absorbs shock on impact and helps prevent blisters, while moderate arch cushioning aids in fit and comfort. Moderate cushioning in the instep and shin provides protection from boot pressure and abrasion. For a comfortable, secure fit, the socks wick away moisture and includes spandex in the top of the sock to keep it from sliding or rolling down.

I saw the 3 for 4 special and jumped at the opportunity. I work in the security world and wear duty boots 10 hours per day, so I'm always on the lookout for good socks.
The price gave me pause but getting one pair free tipped the balance for me.
The socks are soft and well padded below the ankle but are pretty thin above the ankle. I would have preferred a little more heft up top.
They've done well through several washings, neither shedding into non-existence nor shinking down to baby sock size.
Overall, good socks, but would be great if they had a higher % of marino wool. Great socks are very hard to find.

These are the best Combat Boot Socks I've ever owned. They are thick for cold weather. They wick away moisture on hot humid road marches and are surprisingly cool and comfortable when the wet-bulb is 100. The elastic above the calf keeps the sock from creeping down into the toe of the boot while climbing up and down hills. Tactical Gear came through with great service and perhaps the best Military Combat Boot Sock ever invented!

For anyone looking for the right pair of boot socks these are the ones ... whether your on duty or just walking across the country to see the sights ,,, dont leave home without these stowed away in your gear .... do not cheat your feet .... do not settle for cheaper ones ,,, thats all you will get cheap ..... At first I thought 15$ was a little bit high for 1 pair of socks, but I went out on a limb and bought them anyways. Great decision! Best pair of socks I have ever owned! They have a solid amount of cushion at the bottom of the entire foot, and feel amazing to wear with my combat boots. They do come up quite high (might be just me because I had to order 1 size larger than what I needed), but it doesn't bother me a bit. This sock keeps my feet dry and comfortable whenever I have to stand/march/walk/run around all day in my boots, and would definitely recommend it to a friend! 5/5 stars!

Because of the cost, I was apprehensive at first purchasing these socks. However, after putting them on and wearing them for awhile, I can honestly say they are everything Thorlos claims. The old saying is true: "You get what you pay for." And these socks are definitely worth the price!

I bought several pairs of these and sent them to my son, who is deployed overseas. He enthusiastically said they are really comfy. This site made ordering and shipping super easy and he got them at the same time as a package I sent him from home a week earlier.

The picture and review made it seem as if these were actually wearable with boots that’s fit you well, there are very very thick socks that are almost gray and I would never wear these in uniform. But it is ok at keeping your feet warm I guess.

The socks are very well constructed. Very fine quality boot sock. I purchased two pair and think I' order three more. Great height, very soft on the skin and the extra vision in the foot area is a well appreciated feature.

These are very comfortable socks. They are thick around the foot area and thin going up the calf. A little expensive, but I have not found a better pair in any store. I tried one pair of these, and now I have bought more.
