Heavy duty activities require heavy duty eyewear. The Wiley X P-17 is built for tough, hazardous work. The rubberized nosepiece and temple grips prevent slipping when your head becomes wet with moisture. With shatterproof polycarbonate lenses and virtually indestructible Triloid nylon frames, these glasses are built to withstand any grueling tasks. These glasses exceed ANSI high velocity impact safety standards, block 100% of UVA and UVB rays and can withstand the weight of a 1.1-pound pointed projectile dropped from a height of 50 inches. These durable glasses sit comfortably on your face all day and provide protection from a wide variety of dangers.

These sunglasses are unbelievable! Super tough, super comfortable, and they block the sun without impeding your vision. To give you an idea how tough they are, on a recent trip to the Tetons, I accidentally left them in my tent - before I stuffed the tent in the football size compression sack it goes in, them crammed it in the bottom of my backpack!!! When I realized where they were, I was sure they were toast! Pulling all the gear from the pack and pulling the tent out of its stuffsack, there the glasses were - just like new! Get you some of that!!

This is my second set; after five years on nearly continuous wear, the first pair gave it up. They are light, comfortable and yet strong. My first pair saved my left eye from a returning bullet jacket while shooting steel.
Combine this toughness with great customer support and that wins all around.

Bought P-17 w/emerald lens. Great all around sunglasses. My only complaint in the nose pads kept falling off. Had to crazy glue them back on very carefully not to get glue on the lens. My feeling is a one piece frame with molded nose pads even at extra cost would be much more beneficial.

I had finally broke down and tried a pair of Wiley X and they are phenomenal. The clarity of the lenses are excellent. They will be a multi purpose pair of glasses for me, including work, shooting, and general driving. I expect long term usage from them.

These glasses have ridges on the rubberized arms that grip very well, not much of a chance for slipping off your head while looking down. They do come with a clever goggle strap that clips into the frame arms (as opposed to the neck leash that uses O - rings, it comes with those too). The goggle strap secures them very well, but I can only think someone would use that in high wind conditions, motorcycling or maybe skiing. Normally I just rely on the grip of the arms and they stay very secure.

I bought these for my husband for his birthday and he loves him. He says he doesn't want to take them off. All the colors are very crisp and clear. He can't wait to wear them fishing.

Over the years I have purchased enough cheap and lousy sunglasses to have paid for these Wiley X sunglasses many times over. My Dad bought a pair and told me that if I would ever try Wiley X I would never buy any other eyewear again.
Adequate tint, attractive, comfortable and durable. They are also lightweight and scratch resistant.

Very nice and stylish sunglasses! They come with an extra strap to hold the sunglasses tight in case you want to use them in hiking or even running! Good idea! They are durable and give you a very natural view: not too dark, not too light. Cons: a better design of the sunglasses holder would be nice.

Fantastic sunglasses. I've had them for close to a week now and they fit great. I particularly like the rubberized nose and ear pieces. The optics are top-notch and the case that comes with them is pretty radical as well.
